Dear Mr. Donald,

My friend, a fellow historian from North Sumatra send me a book entitled Sari Sejarah Serdang I by Tengku Luckman Sinar. It is very interesting book because within this book there are information about many principalities in East Sumatera, such as:Deli, Serdang, Langkat, Asahan, Senembah, Bedagai, Denai, Percut, etc. If you need this book, I can copy it for you and then send it to your wife in Banjarmasin. Below are some informations you can get from this book.

Kings of Senembah Deli (capital city: Patumbak) were:

PRINCIPALITY OF DENAI

Founded by Tuanku Tawar, brother of Tuanku Umar from Serdang Sultanate. He has four sons: Tengku Jabar, Tengku Matsyekh, Tengku Maja Gerang, and Wan Akhan.
Tengku Tawar was succeeded by Tengku Jabar.
